A Tatts player in Melbourne’s northern suburbs is yet to claim their $55 million dream win after snaring the division one major Powerball.
The winning unregistered ticket was bought in from an undisclosed outlet in the northern suburbs of Melbourne and won the $55 million division one Powerball jackpot last night.
The six winning numbers were 32, 7, 5, 34, 38 and 11, plus the Powerball of 12.
But they are yet to claim the prize.
A Tatts spokeswoman said the prize could go to one individual person or a private syndicate, similar to one last January between Queensland government colleagues who won $55 million.
This win is the the highest Australian lottery jackpot in 12 months.
Melbourne’s north is no stranger to big wins with a semi-retired Mill Park couple winning Powerball’s $6 million division one prize in November.
Anyone who bought a ticket for the draw is urged to check their numbers this morning.
But it wasn’t just good news for the division one winner, 14 division two winners around the country will take home $86,113.10 after guessing all six numbers but the Powerball number.
More than 140 Victorians shared more than $216 million in division one prizes last year.
