The Federation of Indian Communities of Queensland (FICQ) hosted its fourth Chai event to celebrate International Women’s Day, recently. Charis Mullen MP, Minister for Child Safety, Seniors, Disability Services, and Multicultural Affairs, along with Rena Fallon, Director of Community Engagement QLD/NT at Home Affairs, attended the celebration. FICQ’s fourth chai event is a continuation of their tradition of fostering meaningful dialogue and empowerment.
The event saw quiz in celebration of International Women’s Day, which was thoroughly enjoyed by everyone.
Charis Mullen MP inspired the audience with her passion for inclusion, emphasizing the importance of “count her in” for a brighter future. Rena Fallon shed light on the invaluable contributions of women in the Australian public service, highlighting their resilience and dedication.
The event concluded with a vibrant Q&A session, allowing attendees to engage directly with our esteemed guests.
Everyone savoured delicious chai accompanied by samosas, mithai, and cupcakes, making the event even more delightful.
