Sydney, June 5 (Australia India News Newsdesk)

A high-level roundtable featuring women entrepreneurs from India has helped deepen business connections between India and Australia, providing a platform for dialogue, collaboration and the exchange of ideas among emerging and established business leaders.

The discussion, held at the Consulate General of India in Sydney on May 25, was chaired by Consul General Dr. S. Janakiraman and formed a special component of The Women’s Circle initiative organised in partnership with The Big LEAP.

The session brought together women founders from India who were visiting Australia as part of The Big LEAP delegation, creating an opportunity for direct engagement with members of the Indian diaspora and the wider Australian business community.

Participants shared insights from their entrepreneurial journeys and discussed opportunities for innovation, international expansion and collaboration across sectors.

Organisers said the involvement of women business leaders from India added an important global dimension to the conversations, enabling participants to explore trends, challenges and opportunities in both markets.

The roundtable focused on strengthening commercial ties, encouraging knowledge sharing and fostering greater cooperation between women-led enterprises in India and Australia.

Discussions also highlighted the growing contribution of women entrepreneurs to economic development and the importance of creating international networks that support innovation and business growth.

By bringing together business leaders from both countries, the event helped build stronger relationships within the Indian Australian community while opening new avenues for professional engagement and partnership.

Participants identified opportunities for future collaboration in areas ranging from entrepreneurship and innovation to mentoring and cross-border business development.

Organisers described the roundtable as a valuable step towards enhancing India-Australia business engagement and creating lasting connections that can contribute to future growth, investment and cooperation between the two countries.
