Participants took part in a comprehensive yoga session featuring traditional asanas, Dance Yoga, breathwork and a sound healing experience using crystal bowls and gongs. The activities promoted physical vitality, emotional balance, mindfulness and inner relaxation.
The celebration was attended by several distinguished guests, including Lisa Singh, Chief Executive Officer of the Australia India Institute; Sandy Reddy, Deputy Mayor and Councillor of Strathfield Council; Barbara Ward, Councillor of Ku-ring-gai Council; and Professor Meru Sheel of the University of Sydney.
Organisers said the event strengthened collaboration between Indian cultural organisations and local yoga communities while encouraging wider adoption of authentic yoga practices that support healthy ageing, holistic wellbeing and community harmony.
