The Telugu Association of Australia Inc. (TAAI) participated in the Victorian Multicultural Community Roundtable, joining community leaders and government representatives in discussions on strengthening multicultural policies and community engagement across Victoria.
The roundtable, hosted by Parliamentary Secretary Iwan Walters MP, focused on the next phase of Multicultural Victoria and the development of the Whole of Government Multicultural Strategy. Participants were welcomed by Louise Perry, Interim Chair of Multicultural Victoria.
Representing the Telugu community, TAAI shared its experiences and perspectives, highlighting issues affecting multicultural communities while offering recommendations to strengthen collaboration between government agencies and community organisations.
The discussions explored ways to improve government services, enhance engagement with multicultural and multifaith communities, and build stronger partnerships to support a more inclusive and connected Victoria.
TAAI welcomed the Victorian Government’s consultative approach to shaping future multicultural policies and reaffirmed its commitment to working with government and community stakeholders to advance the interests of Victoria’s culturally diverse communities.
