India’s High Commissioner to Australia Nagesh Singh met Federal Member for Blair Shayne Neumann MP, who is Chair of the Joint Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs, Defence and Trade, to discuss the further strengthening of the Australia–India partnership.
According to a post by India in Australia, the High Commission of India in Canberra, Singh and Neumann exchanged views on expanding the multifaceted bilateral relationship between the two countries.
The meeting brought together India’s senior diplomatic representative in Australia and a senior Australian parliamentarian involved in the country’s foreign affairs, defence and trade deliberations.
The engagement comes as Australia and India continue to broaden cooperation across areas including trade, investment, technology and security, with parliamentary and diplomatic exchanges contributing to the wider bilateral relationship.
