The Consulate General of India in Perth partnered with the Cottesloe Coastcare Association for an environmental activity at Cottesloe Beach as part of the Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign.
The initiative involved cleaning the beachfront by collecting rubbish, removing weeds and planting new native saplings, according to the Consulate General of India in Perth.
The tree-planting component was undertaken under the “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam” initiative, reflecting a commitment to environmental sustainability and highlighting the nurturing spirit of Mother Nature.
The activity brought together cleanliness and environmental conservation efforts, with a focus on maintaining the coastal environment and encouraging community participation in sustainability initiatives.
The Consulate said the programme was part of its activities under the Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign.
