Faculty members and students of the University of New South Wales joined India’s Consul General in Sydney, Dr S. Janakiraman, in paying tribute to Mahatma Gandhi on October 2, marking Gandhi Jayanti.
Dr Janakiraman paid floral tribute at a bust of Gandhi on the university premises, commemorating the birth anniversary of the leader widely known as the Father of the Nation.
According to a post by the Consulate General of India in Sydney on October 6, the observance brought together university faculty members and students to honour Gandhi’s legacy.
