The Indian community in Adelaide came together with Australian friends on September 26 for the Viksit Bharat Run 2026, an initiative promoting fitness, unity and India’s ambition to become a developed nation by 2047.
The event was organised by the Indian Australian Association of South Australia in collaboration with the Consulate General of India in Sydney.
Participants from the Indian diaspora and the wider Australian community took part in the run, using the occasion to celebrate friendship and strengthen community connections.
According to the Consulate General of India in Sydney, the event reflected the shared spirit of togetherness while highlighting the Viksit Bharat 2047 vision. The initiative also linked physical fitness and community participation with the broader message of Swachhata Hi Seva.
