Bhopal, June 14 (IANS) In a major boost to the MSME (Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises) sector, Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on Sunday disbursed incentive amounts totalling over Rs 360 crore to 900 industrial units with a single click. He also cleared all outstanding liabilities of MSME units up to March 31, 2026.

Through the digital initiative, the Chief Minister released Rs 2.02 crore in assistance for units setting up Effluent Treatment Plants (ETPs), reimbursed Rs 1.07 crore in mandi fees under a special package, and provided Rs 3.69 crore towards electricity tariff support for 11 units.

He further distributed loans under the ‘Mukhyamantri Udyam Kranti Yojana’, land allotment letters and incentives under the ‘Startup Policy 2025’.

Addressing the gathering, Chief Minister Yadav said Madhya Pradesh now has over 24 lakh MSME units providing employment to more than 1.25 crore people.

Notably, women lead more than 4.41 lakh of these units, which he described as a shining example of women empowerment.

“The government will provide Rs 4,500 crore over the next two and a half years to strengthen the MSME sector,” he announced.

Under the MSME Development Policy, units receive incentives of up to 40 per cent on investment (60 per cent for food processing units) and an additional 8 per cent support for SC, ST and women entrepreneurs.

Yadav highlighted that land is being provided at concessional rates following the simplification of regulations.

In the last two and a half years, 30 new industrial areas and 14 clusters have been approved, while 1,063 plots have been allotted. The target is to develop 60 new industrial areas and clusters and allot more than 6,000 plots in the coming period.

The Chief Minister also noted that Madhya Pradesh has received “Leader” category status in national start-up rankings.

The state now has over 7,400 start-ups, with women leading nearly 50 per cent of them, accounting for more than 3,400 ventures.

Under the Mukhyamantri Udyam Kranti Yojana, loans exceeding Rs 1,630 crore have been sanctioned to more than 23,500 youths.

Representatives of various industrial organisations felicitated the Chief Minister.

CM Yadav also interacted with prominent entrepreneurs.

Minister for MSME Chetanya Kumar Kashyap and Principal Secretary Raghavendra Singh were present on the occasion.
