In line with the Premier’s announcement this morning, as of 1:00am Saturday, 18 December 2021 masks are mandatory across Queensland in the following locations:
shops and retail centres
hospitals and aged care
public transport
ride share
airports and planes.
These are largely places where the unvaccinated are mixing with the vaccinated.
From today, 17 December 2021 pubs, clubs and other venues are for the vaccinated only. Masks are not required but they are recommended. Masks help slow the spread of the virus and we want vaccinated Queenslanders to enjoy their freedoms as our borders open up.
The mask mandate will be reviewed when Queensland reaches the 90 per cent full vaccination mark.
It would be appreciated if you could please advise your community of these important messages to assist in stopping the spread of COVID-19.
