Hyderabad, May 8 (IANS) Cyberabad and Malkajgiri police have issued orders prohibiting the flying of drones, para-gliders or remotely controlled micro-light aircraft on May 10 as part of the tight security arrangements for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit.

Cyberabad Police Commissioner M. Ramesh and Malkajgiri Deputy Commissioner of Police CH Sridhar have issued separate notifications in this regard.

The Prime Minister will inaugurate Sindhu Hospital in Hitech City under the limits of the Cyberabad Police Commissionerate.

Under the powers conferred under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, the Commissioner issued the notification. Remotely controlled drones of any capacity, para-gliders or remotely controlled micro-light aircraft will not be allowed over the area of Madhapur Police Station under the Cyberabad Police Commissionerate.

Any person contravening this order shall be punishable under relevant sections of the law, the notification stated.

Malkajgiri Police have also issued similar orders in view of the Prime Minister’s visit to Hyderabad for a public meeting at Parade Grounds, Begumpet.

The police announced on Friday that the flying of drones, para-gliders and remotely controlled micro-light aircraft is strictly prohibited within the limits of Begumpet, Bowenpally and Marredpally Police Stations on May 10.

Citizens have been requested to cooperate with the police and follow the restrictions for public safety and security.
