The Federation of Indian Communities of Queensland (FICQ) will bring multicultural communities together through the FICQ Unity Cup 2026, a soccer tournament focused on sport, teamwork and community connections.
The event will be held on September 13 at J.F. O’Grady Memorial Park in Fairfield, Brisbane, from 7am to 4pm.
The tournament will feature four categories — Men’s Open, Women’s Open, Under-14 and Under-9 — allowing players across different age groups to participate.
FICQ said the event would provide an opportunity for players, families, supporters and community members from diverse backgrounds to come together through football and celebrate multicultural unity.
The Unity Cup is being positioned as a community-focused sporting event, with an emphasis on friendship, participation and stronger connections among Queensland’s multicultural communities.
FICQ has invited players, families and community members to attend and be part of the event.
