Four people have died in separate crashes after a horror day on Queensland roads on Saturday.
A three-car crash at Landsborough, north of Brisbane, left one dead and two others in hospital.
Police said about 5.20pm a ute was travelling along Steve Irwin Way when it collided with the back of a stationary hatchback.
As a result of the initial impact, the hatchback was then involved in a collision with a car coming from the opposite direction.
An 86-year-old Glass House Mountains woman, a passenger in the car, died at the scene while the driver, a 67-year-old woman from the same suburb, was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries.
The driver of the hatchback, a 66-year-old Landsborough woman suffered non-life threatening injuries and the ute driver was not injured.
