Melbourne, May 21 (Australia India News Newsdesk)
A dynamic round table discussion on women in leadership was recently hosted by Global Victoria in partnership with the Australia India Business Council (AIBC), aiming to strengthen and diversify Australia-India relations through women-led collaborations.
The event brought together around 28 Indian Australian women leaders, representing a wide range of sectors including fashion, food, fintech, education, skill development, IT, sports, startups, and the arts. These accomplished professionals were joined by the Consul General of India in Melbourne, adding diplomatic weight to the dialogue.
The roundtable served as a platform for CEOs, entrepreneurs, and industry pioneers from both India and Australia to share insights, exchange ideas, and explore new opportunities for cross-border cooperation. Discussions focused on leveraging women’s leadership to fuel innovation, build inclusive economies, and create meaningful people-to-people connections across both nations.
Organisers and participants expressed optimism that such initiatives would pave the way for stronger bilateral engagement in trade, talent, and thought leadership—while amplifying the voices and influence of women in shaping global partnerships.
The event concluded with a shared commitment to continue fostering dialogue and collaboration that puts women leaders at the heart of Australia-India growth stories.
