Meghwal chairs meeting of Hindi advisory panel of Parliamentary Affairs Ministry

New Delhi, May 29 (IANS) Union Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Arjun Ram Meghwal on Friday chaired a meeting to discuss strategies for promoting the use of Hindi in official work.

A total of 20 members, including the Minister and Members of Parliament, participated in the meeting of the Hindi Salahkar Samiti (Advisory Committee), said a statement.

Addressing the Samiti, the Minister of State invited the Committee members to present their views.

In addition to Manoj Tiwari, Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha), Aparajita Sarangi, Member of Parliament (Lok Sabha), and Sangeeta Yadav, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha), the meeting was attended by members who are not serving in the government.

These members included Advocate Pravirkumar Guharay, Ramkishore Sharma, Kamlesh Kishore, Prakash Kumar Patel, Anubhav Chak, Ramchandra Ramesh Arya, Praveen Shriram Deshmukh and Sunil Pandey.

During the meeting, deliberations were held regarding the action taken on the items of the minutes of the Samiti’s previous meeting held on August 22, 2025, said a statement.

The members offered their suggestions concerning the promotion of the progressive use of Hindi, the Official Language, in the functioning of the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs.

Representing the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs, Nikunj Bihari Dhal (Secretary), Satya Prakash (Additional Secretary), and other officials participated in the meeting, while the Assistant Director represented the Department of Official Language.

At the start, Secretary Dhal welcomed the Minister of State and all members of the Hindi Salahkar Samiti present, highlighting the efforts undertaken by the Ministry regarding the Official Language, Hindi.

Finally, Dr Satya Prakash, Additional Secretary, extended his vote of thanks to the Minister and the members, assuring them that appropriate action would be taken regarding the suggestions that were put forth during the meeting.
