EARLIER: POLICE are currently co-ordinating a search for a diver who is missing near the Yongala dive site off Townsville.
It comes after police received information about 6.45pm last night that a 68-year-old man had not returned from the famed dive site.
The man had set off to dive on his own.
A marine search conducted by water police, Volunteer Marine Rescue and the Coastguard, and an aerial search conducted by a number of aircraft has so far failed to locate the man.
Around 8.45pm, a vessel was located at the dive site, however no one was located on board.
