Perth celebrates Haryana’s heritage at Multicultural Haryana Day Mela 2025

The Multicultural Haryana Day Mela 2025, organised by the Haryanvi Association of Western Australia, celebrated the rich culture and traditions of Haryana in a vibrant showcase. The event featured folk music, traditional dance performances, and colourful attire, offering attendees a glimpse into the state’s historical and cultural legacy.

Exhibitions and presentations highlighted Haryana’s agricultural excellence and its strides in modern development, reflecting the balance between heritage and progress. The mela also served as an important platform for the Haryanvi diaspora to connect and engage with the broader Australian community, promoting cultural understanding and exchange.

The event saw participation from prominent dignitaries, including Yaz Mubarakai MLA representing Dr Tony Buti, Dr Jags MLA, Hugh Jones MLA, Mayor Logan Howlett of City of Cockburn, Cr Bali Singh, and heads of various Indian associations, underscoring the strong support for cultural initiatives and community engagement.
