Children took part in face painting, colouring activities and games, while participants also enjoyed breathing exercises followed by guided deep relaxation, highlighting yoga’s benefits for physical and mental well-being.
The event was attended by Deputy Mayor Phoebe Corke, Councillor Carol Zhang, Cultural Diversity Officer Liz Vuchocho and Treeby Community Association President Lani Slaughter, who joined members of the community in celebrating the ancient Indian practice.
Organisers said the programme promoted learning, cultural exchange and community connection while encouraging healthy lifestyles and strengthening social harmony through the practice of yoga.
