Perth, June 22 (Australia India News Newsdesk): Consul General of India in Perth Kalari Biswas attended Raja Parba 2026, organised by the Orioz Association of Western Australia, celebrating Odisha’s cultural heritage and traditions.
The event brought together members of the Odia community and guests from across Western Australia to mark one of Odisha’s most significant festivals. The Consul General appreciated the association’s continued efforts to preserve and promote Odia language, culture and heritage among the Indian diaspora.
A highlight of the celebration was the formal launch of the association’s annual magazine, Spandan, by the Consul General. The publication showcases the community’s cultural activities, literary contributions and efforts to strengthen connections with Odisha while fostering cultural awareness in Australia.
The celebration reflected the vibrant cultural diversity of the Indian community in Western Australia and reinforced the importance of preserving regional traditions while promoting greater community engagement and cultural exchange.
