As per the latest tabloids, miffed with the undesirable and disturbing media reports, Bollywood’s glam diva Priyanka Chopra has given up reading newspapers.
The B-town’s desi girl is so worn-out by the paparazzi that she feels cutting off herself from the newspapers and the media is the only way to be stress-free.
“Every time there is something I know that is going to irritate me, I try and block it out. So I don’t read the newspaper or see the news,” said Priyanka, as quoted in IANS. “I like to stay in my own bubble. It’s my way to protect myself, because I happen to be in the newspaper more often than not.”
Meanwhile, rumor mills are working overtime that Priyanka has been offered to play Jaya Bachchan’s character in ‘Zanjeer’ remake. The role was initially offered to Deepika Padukone.
Helmed by Apoorva Lakhia, ‘Zanjeer’ remake stars Ram Charan Teja as the male protagonist and will be made in both Telugu and Hindi. However, the actress is yet to give a green signal to the project.
The bombshell, who is among Bollywood’s top rated actresses, says that although everyone wishes to be on the number one spot, ranking at the top is not an easy task.
“It is very important to be No 1. Since school days one wants to be No 1. In this competitive world, you have to be No 1 – whether in school or anywhere else. That doesn’t mean you stamp on people’s faces,” stated Priyanka, as quoted in IANS. “But it is impossible to decide who is No.1 or No.2. Nobody can decide who is No 1. An actress tends to do three to four films a year and all that films cannot be a hit. We make so many films in a year.”
After the release of ‘Don 2’ and ‘Agneepath’, Priyanka is now busy shooting for Anurag Basu’s Barfee, Rakesh Roshan’s ‘Krrish 2’, and Kunal Kohli’s ‘Teri Meri Kahaani’. She was recently crowned Big CBS Love’s ‘India’s Glam Diva’.
