Jaipur, May 29 (IANS) In a major crackdown on the narcotics network in Rajasthan, the Pratapgarh Police have frozen movable and immovable assets worth Rs 3.2 crore belonging to two alleged drug traffickers under “Operation Trinetra”.
The action was carried out under Section 68-F(1) of the NDPS Act under the supervision of Pratapgarh Superintendent of Police (SP) B. Aditya, officials said on Friday.
Police said the properties were acquired through proceeds of crime generated from illegal drug trafficking.
The proposals for freezing the assets, prepared by Chhoti Sadri Station House Officer (SHO) Shambhu Singh, were approved by the Competent Authority and Administrator (SAFEMA) in New Delhi.
In the first case, police attached assets worth Rs 1.55 crore belonging to alleged trafficker Shaifulla Sheikh, who was arrested in January 2026 in connection with the seizure of more than 4.5 kg of MDMA drug from an unregistered motorcycle in November 2025.
Investigations said that Sheikh had allegedly arranged the consignment for supply to Ajmer.
A financial probe found that Sheikh had purchased agricultural land worth Rs 55 lakh in Basad village using illegal earnings.
Police also identified a luxury bungalow worth nearly Rs 1 crore allegedly built from proceeds of drug trafficking on land possessed by his father.
Both properties have been frozen.
In another action, police froze assets worth Rs 1.65 crore linked to alleged smuggler Bhuralal Labana, accused in a 2023 case involving the seizure of 492 kg of doda chura from an overturned vehicle in Pratapgarh district.
According to the police, Labana invested illegal earnings in the names of family members to evade detection.
The attached assets include a residential plot worth Rs 1 crore on Arnod Road in Pratapgarh registered in his wife’s name, agricultural land worth Rs 55 lakh, and a Kubota tractor valued at Rs 10 lakh purchased in his son’s name.
Police said both accused have multiple criminal cases registered against them in Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh related to narcotics trafficking, illegal arms, assault, forgery and other offences.
Pratapgarh SP Aditya said the campaign against drug networks and their financial assets will continue.
“Those supporting or sheltering drug traffickers directly or indirectly will not be spared,” he added.
