The roots of Bhartiya Samaj run deep. Since 1995, the Bhartiya Samaj Charitable Trust has been a pillar of support for the South Asian community in New Zealand. Founded by the visionary duo, Jeet Suchdev QSM JP and Ms. Roopa Suchdev QSM, the Trust has consistently worked to uplift varied communities, transcending language, religion, and social barriers. Their unwavering dedication to combating social isolation and providing comprehensive support has transformed countless lives.

Empowering migrants Expo: A milestone event
In alignment with its mission, Bhartiya Samaj is organizing the “Inaugural Empowering Migrants Expo” on 4 August, 2024, at Brisbane City Hall. This landmark event aims to bring together over 30 indigenous and ethnic cultures to showcase their heritage through art, music, dance, handicrafts, and other forms. Envisioned as a celebration of cultural diversity, the Expo aims to create a platform for communities to connect, share, and learn from one another.
The event will also feature an awards evening to recognize and honour the contributions of various cultures to the community. By highlighting the rich cultural tapestry of Queensland, Bhartiya Samaj hopes to promote understanding, respect, and unity among all residents.
