‘Ugadi Sambhrama’ showcases culture, tradition and community bonding

Brisbane’s Kannada community marked the festival of Ugadi with “Ugadi Sambhrama – Cultures in Harmony,” a cultural event held at the Star Theatre, Wynnum State High School.
Organised by the Kannada Sangha of Queensland, the programme brought together community members for an evening celebrating the traditional New Year through cultural expression and shared festivities.
The event, held between 5:00 PM and 8:30 PM, featured performances and activities reflecting Indian traditions, creating a lively and inclusive atmosphere for attendees.
The celebration provided a platform for families and community members to come together, strengthening cultural connections while promoting unity within Brisbane’s diverse multicultural landscape.
