Consul General of India in Brisbane Neetu Bhagotia attended the welcome reception for the Australia India Youth Dialogue (AIYD), currently being held in Brisbane and Perth from July 28 to 31, highlighting the role of young leaders in strengthening bilateral ties.
According to the Consulate General of India in Brisbane, Bhagotia congratulated AIYD on completing 14 years as a flagship Australia-India initiative and praised its contribution to promoting leadership, innovation and lasting people-to-people connections between the two countries.
The Consulate said the 2026 edition of AIYD has brought together 15 emerging leaders from Australia and 15 from India for discussions, collaboration and leadership development.
According to the Consulate, the dialogue has become an important platform for nurturing future leaders who are committed to advancing the Australia-India partnership across business, public policy, academia and civil society.
The four-day programme provides participants with opportunities to exchange ideas, build professional networks and explore new avenues for cooperation, further reinforcing the growing strategic and community links between Australia and India.
