A man in his mid-30s has been arrested over a domestic disturbance that resulted in a quiet suburban street in Trinity Park being in lockdown for at least five hours.
The Roberts Dr resident is expected to be charged later today by police for numerous offences, after a domestic dispute with his female partner allegedly turned violent in the early hours of this morning.
The woman, who suffered bruising, contacted police around 3am.
It is understood the man refused to leave the home, where he was held up with two weapons.
Police at the scene said the man was believed to have been armed with a crossbow and a baseball bat.
At least 20 police officers rushed to the scene, and shut down both ends of Roberts Dr — the main thoroughfare between Trinity Park and Trinity Beach — for at least three hours.
It was only reopened to traffic shortly after 10am.
