Melbourne-based technology professional and community advocate Vaishali Dixit Singh has joined the Working Committee of the Bihar Jharkhand Sabha of Australia and New Zealand (BJSM) for 2026–27, bringing with her extensive corporate experience and a strong commitment to community engagement.
Born in Delhi and connected to both Prayagraj in Uttar Pradesh and Buxar in Bihar, Vaishali represents the growing generation of Indian Australians who are successfully combining professional achievement with active participation in community life.
With more than 17 years of experience in the technology sector, Vaishali currently serves as a Senior Service Delivery Manager at HCLTech Australia, supporting operations for Coles. Her professional background spans technology, service delivery, operations management and strategic leadership.
Alongside her corporate career, she has developed a reputation as a passionate supporter of community-building initiatives, women’s empowerment, youth engagement and cultural activities. Friends and colleagues describe her as a creative thinker and natural connector who enjoys bringing people together through collaboration and shared purpose.
Vaishali, who lives in Melbourne’s Glen Waverley suburb with her husband Arun and their children Shanaya and Adyant, believes strong communities are built through trust, meaningful relationships and consistent participation.
As part of the BJSM leadership team, she will work alongside Raghwendra in leading the organisation’s Digital Wing. The role will involve supporting digital communications, social media engagement, community outreach and initiatives designed to strengthen connections among members across Australia and New Zealand.
BJSM said Vaishali’s combination of professional expertise, creativity and community spirit would help support the organisation’s vision of preserving cultural heritage while fostering stronger engagement among members of the Bihar and Jharkhand diaspora.
Her appointment reflects the increasing involvement of highly skilled Indian-Australian professionals in community organisations, where they contribute not only their technical expertise but also their leadership and commitment to strengthening social and cultural bonds.
As Australia’s Indian community continues to grow and diversify, leaders such as Vaishali are helping create new opportunities for engagement, mentorship and collaboration, ensuring that cultural traditions remain strong while embracing innovation and contemporary community needs.
BJSM welcomed Vaishali to its leadership team and expressed confidence that her experience, positive outlook and community-first approach would make a valuable contribution to the organisation’s future initiatives.
