Brisbane (Australia India News Newsdesk): The Federation of Indian Communities of Queensland (FICQ) has announced the election of its new Executive Committee for the 2026–2028 term, marking a new chapter for the organisation as it continues its community service across Queensland.
Celebrating more than 28 years of service, FICQ said the newly elected committee will focus on strengthening collaboration, promoting cultural celebrations and enhancing engagement across Queensland’s Indian community.
The newly elected office bearers are:
President: Dr. Preethi Suraj
Vice presidents: Pradip Gorasia and Miran Ranchhod
Secretary: Sunita Avadhani
Treasurer: Parul Mehta
Assistant secretary: Mokhtiar Singh
Assistant treasurer: Pankaj Agarwal
Public relations officer: Preetham Krishna
Festival and Cultural coordinator: Vinod Manuel
FICQ said the new team brings together a wealth of experience, leadership and commitment to serve the diverse Indian community across Queensland.
The organisation also acknowledged the contribution of its members, volunteers, supporters and past committee members, thanking them for their continued dedication to the growth and success of FICQ over the past 28 years.
