The High Commission of India in Canberra and the Hindu Council of Australia (ACT) jointly organised a community yoga session, bringing together participants to promote holistic health, well-being and inner harmony.
According to the High Commission, the session was led by Vijay Arora and encouraged members of the community to embrace yoga as a way of enhancing physical, mental and emotional wellness.
The programme highlighted the benefits of yoga for healthy ageing and overall well-being, aligning with the theme of the International Day of Yoga 2026 campaign.
The High Commission said the event reflected the shared commitment of India and Australia to promoting healthy lifestyles while strengthening cultural and people-to-people ties through yoga.
The session formed part of a series of activities organised to mark the International Day of Yoga and promote India’s traditional wellness practices across Australia.
