Perth, June 22 (Australia India News Newsdesk): Members of the Federation of Indian Associations of Western Australia (FIAWA) came together in Perth to celebrate the International Day of Yoga, with community members of all ages participating in a series of yoga sessions promoting health, mindfulness and well-being.

The celebration featured guided yoga and stretching exercises conducted in a spacious indoor venue, where participants practised a range of asanas and breathing techniques in a calm and inclusive atmosphere. The programme attracted families, senior citizens and yoga enthusiasts, reflecting the growing popularity of yoga within the Indian community in Western Australia.

Photographs from the event showed participants performing yoga postures on mats under the guidance of instructors, while community leaders joined the gathering to encourage healthy living through the ancient Indian discipline. The event also provided an opportunity for people to connect with one another while embracing the physical and mental benefits of yoga.

FIAWA thanked all members, volunteers and participants for their enthusiastic support in making the celebration a success. The organisation said the strong community response highlighted yoga’s role in promoting physical fitness, mental wellness and social harmony while strengthening community bonds.
