High Commissioner of India to Australia Nagesh Singh visited Legacy Iron Ore Limited in Perth to discuss opportunities for strengthening Australia-India cooperation in the mining and resources sector.
According to the Consulate General of India in Perth, Singh was welcomed by Legacy Iron Ore Chief Executive Officer Dr Ranajit Das and the company’s leadership team during his visit.
Legacy Iron Ore presented an overview of its operations in Western Australia and highlighted its contribution to advancing Australia-India collaboration in the resources industry through its strategic partnership with NMDC Limited, India’s premier iron ore producer and a Government of India enterprise.
The discussions focused on the growing importance of collaboration in mining, mineral resources and investment, reflecting the expanding economic partnership between Australia and India.
According to the Consulate, the visit underscored the shared commitment of both countries to strengthening cooperation in the resources sector and fostering long-term partnerships that support trade, investment and sustainable economic growth.
