India has donated Jan Aushadhi generic medicines and medical supplies to Nauru under the Forum for India–Pacific Islands Cooperation (FIPIC) framework, reinforcing healthcare cooperation with the Pacific island nation.
According to the High Commission of India in Canberra, the donation reaffirms India’s commitment to supporting Nauru and strengthening collaboration in healthcare and other areas of mutual interest across the Pacific.
The assistance is intended to improve access to affordable, quality medicines while advancing public health cooperation between the two countries.
The High Commission said the contribution reflects the enduring friendship between India and Nauru and underscores India’s commitment to the Global South through development partnerships focused on shared priorities and mutual benefit.
The initiative forms part of India’s broader engagement with Pacific Island countries through the FIPIC framework, which promotes cooperation in healthcare, capacity building and sustainable development.
