As the Australia India Business Council (AIBC) celebrates its 40th anniversary, Minister for Climate Change and Energy, Chris Bowen, has highlighted the growing partnership between Australia and India in clean energy and sustainable development.
In a special anniversary message, Bowen said the Australia–India relationship is entering a new phase of cooperation, with expanding opportunities in renewable energy, critical minerals, green hydrogen, clean technology and other sectors supporting the transition to a low-carbon economy.
He noted that stronger collaboration between the two countries can drive innovation, attract investment and create new opportunities for businesses while contributing to shared economic growth and prosperity.
Bowen, who has led Australia’s climate change and energy portfolio, also emphasised the importance of international partnerships in advancing the country’s clean energy transition and building a more sustainable future.
The message forms part of AIBC’s celebrations marking four decades of promoting trade, investment and business links between Australia and India.
