Police said when the officers tried to pull over the white Subaru wagon on Bailey Road just after 7:00pm, the driver rammed the police car four times before fleeing the scene.
The wagon was later stopped with tyre spikes nearby, but the occupants fled on foot and remain on the run.
Meanwhile, a 42-year-old Toowoomba man appeared in Toowoomba Magistrates Court on Saturday morning after he was caught on camera allegedly trying to run a motorbike officer off the road.
The road policing officer was conducting patrols on the New England Highway near Toowoomba around midday.
The officer’s body cam captured the heated altercation in which the driver refused to pull over.
The vision showed the man swerving side to side before abruptly cutting in front of the officer’s motorbike.
The car sped off and was later located crashed into a tree off the highway near Mount Luke.
The dog squad spent several hours searching bushland and rural properties for the driver, who was taken into custody at around 5:00pm.
He was charged with dangerous driving, endangering the life of a person in a vehicle and failing to stop, and was remanded in custody.
Police also alleged the man did not have a licence and was driving on a SPER suspension.
