The Consulate General of India in Sydney and the Australia India Travel & Tourism Council (AITTC) jointly organised a business seminar on “Tourism in India” at the Consulate on May 20, bringing together key stakeholders from the travel and tourism industry.
The event was attended by Australian tour operators, airline representatives, travel professionals, tourism speakers, travel writers and local media representatives.
More than 70 participants from tourism and allied industries took part in the seminar, which focused on promoting inbound tourism to India and strengthening tourism-related engagement between India and Australia.
Organisers said the seminar served as a platform for discussions on travel opportunities, industry collaboration and growing interest in India as a tourism destination among Australian travellers and businesses.
