Melbourne, May 23 (Australia India News Newsdesk)

In a vibrant evening of orientation and networking, RMIT University welcomed the second cohort of Indian students enrolled under the BITS-RMIT Higher Education Academy and Dual Degree Programme, reaffirming the strength of the India-Victoria partnership in education and innovation.

The event brought together a dynamic mix of students, faculty members, alumni, industry leaders, and senior representatives from both RMIT University and Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani. The evening celebrated not just academic excellence, but also the spirit of collaboration between two premier institutions.

Dr. Sushil Kumar, Consul General of India in Melbourne, joined the occasion to extend his support and encouragement to the incoming students. He praised the growing cooperation between India and Victoria in higher education, research, and global talent exchange, noting that such partnerships are key to empowering future leaders.

The BITS-RMIT Dual Degree Programme offers Indian students the opportunity to pursue integrated academic pathways across both campuses, equipping them with international experience and industry-ready skills.

With students at the heart of this collaboration, the evening highlighted the role of education as a powerful bridge between nations — fostering not just academic growth, but lasting friendships and future opportunities.
